2nd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) Successfully Conducted
Prepared Today, Safe Tomorrow!
The school successfully participated in the 2nd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on June 18, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 9:37 AM, reinforcing its commitment to disaster preparedness and the safety of all learners and personnel.
Pupils, teachers, and staff practiced the Duck, Cover, and Hold procedure before evacuating to the 1st Evacuation Area (Epiphany Compound) for accountability and headcount. During the evacuation, color-coded skull guards were utilized to easily identify pupils according to their grade levels, enabling teachers and emergency responders to monitor and account for learners more efficiently. Participants then safely proceeded to the 2nd Evacuation Area (BSU Compound), crossing the street in organized groups to ensure a safe and orderly evacuation.
A post-drill debriefing followed, where earthquake response protocols were reinforced, including the importance of evacuating only after the shaking has stopped during an actual earthquake. The activity also highlighted coordinated evacuation procedures, accountability, and continuous improvement in emergency preparedness.
The successful conduct of the drill reflects the school’s unwavering commitment to fostering a culture of safety, preparedness, and resilience among its learners and personnel. –D.A.M
